Car Signs Offer Great Benefits
Many entrepreneurs and small business folks have removable magnetic signs that attach to their car doors, turning their autos into moving billboards. Yet it's not enough to have just your name, logo and telephone number on the signs. Also include an important benefit or seasonal special your company offers. Example: "Ask me about holiday flower arrangements for under $____." Or "Now, as a home-based business, you can accept credit card payments. Ask me how." Most prospects are searching for solutions, even as they drive along the highway! Make it easy for them to see the benefits your company has to offer.
Catch Them Where They Sit
A local entrepreneur helps companies "catch" people where they sit. He sells the placement of advertising posters above mirrors in beauty salons and barbershops. Customers receiving a haircut or having their hair done are a captive audience, as men spend an average 25 minutes per visit in a barbershop, and women spend anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours in a salon.
Marketing from All Angles
A courier service here in Washington D.C. wants you to see them coming and going. They have their logo and phone number painted "backwards" on the hoods of all their delivery cars. This enables drivers in front of them to look in their rear view mirrors and see the company logo and phone number the "right" way, thanks to the transformation the mirror provides. Pretty smart.
Just Say "No" for Increased Business
A smart entrepreneur we know who owns an auto repair shop uses the word "no" in his marketing signage. Drive past his shop and you'll see the following messages in his window:
"No Sloppy Service Here"
"No Second-Hand Parts Used Here"
"No Waiting...We'll Take You to the Metro"
"No Surprises - Rock Solid Repair Quotes Given Here"
The word "no" can certainly attract attention...and new customers!
