Border Alert
Try running your next print ad without a border to stand out from the crowd. The "white space" draws attention, especially if the other ads on the page are bordered.

An Active Newsletter
Put a little life into your printed newsletter. If you mail out a newsletter to your customers and prospects, make it *active* by including fax-or-mail-back contests or surveys.

Catalog Backlog
A mail order company we know was going crazy! Their new catalog had been delayed at the printer and they were completely out of their old catalogs. They remedied the situation by quick-printing a "10% off" coupon/postcard which they mailed to the prospective customer. It stated that a new catalog would be mailed to the prospect within the next few weeks and that they hoped the prospect would use the coupon when the catalog arrived. The result: sales went up as a result of the new prospect using the coupon.

Online Surveys Can Add a Lot to Your Marketing Efforts
Have a Web site that's industry specific? Add a simple survey to your site that can be completed by a site visitor and sent to you via e-mail in return for a special gift. Example: a fax broadcasting service company offers to "snail mail" a free pair of "fax" socks to every person who completes their online survey. The survey results can be compiled and sent to specific trade publications to attract media coverage and, upon publication, more site visitors.
