The point of this design sample is that there's more to WolfTrap than world class entertainers. Extra star attractions include fantastic fauna, sweet summer night's fragrance and million mile long moon beams surrounded by farther out Heavenly bodies. Pointing to so much in one poster calls for a design that is pure and simple. One in which both word and image are clearly focused on projecting the same feeling.
Here, the designer takes care to make sure that the visual content supports the headline to the enth degree. Because its letters are overlapped by the illustration and each character is acknowledging audience approval, there can be no mistaking who the "all stars" are.
Andy Attiliis believes it is the creative community's responsibility to provide clients with specific reasons for messaging decisions. With this knowledge, they are more likely to stay on course long enough to get resuts. He developed this work on the creative process and its functions to show how they can best be used to accomplish communication goals. Attiliis is a hands-on creative director who has provided creative direction, art direction, writing, design, and illustration for over 36 years.
